George Junior Republic’s medical department, staffed by a board certified pediatrician, psychiatrists, dentist, optometrist, several registered nurses and a dietician, is committed to administering the best medical treatment for youth. Routine healthcare, including physicals, dental and eye examinations, are conducted on campus at George Junior Republic’s certified Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment site. This medical facility is comprised of a spacious waiting area, two exam rooms, a dental office, a laboratory, and a psychiatric wing. In addition, the complex houses two private rooms equipped to monitor students who require short-term, around the clock medical attention.

The medical staff is on call 24-hours a day, seven days a week, to provide youth with immediate medical attention, and to dispense all medications. Any medical concern, beyond the scope of George Junior Republic’s facilities or staff, is treated at The Grove City Medical Center or at other area hospitals.
